Since 1999 Bock Andrews & Sam Kietz working together as the project “Salamandroids”. In the first four years they have been just a studio band, creating electronic music mixed with movie and german radio play samples. More and more, the so-called “Droidz of Doom”, produced danceable tunes from Drum&Bass to Techno. 2003 the nation called for a live-play. The Salamandroids began to work out a live performance. To get out of the conventional “two-men beating a drum-computer” Bock and Sam met Sven Affleck, a great and good looking drummer. Actually the live performances looks like a SxE Minor Threat or Black Flag concert paired with the intension of Techno.
Furthermore they bought a lot of Techno, Breakbeat and Drum&Bass records. The next step for antoher performance was born: The Salamandroids-Soundsystem, bringing straight sounds to the dancefloor, kicking asses.
